Roland Green, a former road racer, has established himself this season as
Canada's best ever male mountain biker. He won the country's first medal
in men's cross country at the world mountain bike championships despite leg
cramps finishing second. A year ago he was 24th. He also won Canada's
first World Cup medal in men's competition at the Canmore, AB, stop a
few weeks later. He is currently ninth overall on the World Cup circuit.
He was also fourth in another race this season and in two others he
