Renegades to complete 2003 season with game in Montreal
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Renegades complete the 2003 Canadian Football League season with a game at Percival Molson Stadium in Montreal against the Alouettes on Sunday, October 26.
The Renegades have a record of 7-10 and could become the first Ottawa professional football team to finish a season with at least eight wins since 1992 when the Ottawa Rough Riders won nine of 18 games.
Ottawa completed its home regular-season schedule on October 13 with a 21-15 win over the Toronto Argonauts at Frank Clair Stadium, the team's fifth consecutive win on home turf. The Renegades were 6-3 at home during the 2003 season.
The Renegades, a second-year franchise in the Canadian Football League, will finish third in the four-team CFL East Division. A 13-12 victory by Toronto over the Calgary Stampeders Friday night in Toronto clinched second place in the East Division for the Argonauts and eliminated the Renegades from playoff contention.
Ottawa hosts next year's Grey Cup Game on Sunday, November 21, 2004 at Frank Clair Stadium.
