Usually I would avoid any place that is a mecca for tourists, lavishly decorated in gold and has it's name spelt out in neon lights. But for the Ritz, I’ve had to make an exception. This is a place where you'll be on a six-week waiting list just to drink their tea. No wonder tourists have the impression the English have an excessive tea addiction.
