New Ontario bike park features 10 trails
By QMI Agency

A new mountain bike park in southwestern Ontario features 10 trails that vary in difficulty from beginning to expert.

The Inverhuron Mountain Bike Park is just east of Inverhuron Provincial Park, near Kincardine, and cost about $100,000 to create.

The difficulty of the trails is based on the Whistler Trail Standards.

As they get worked in they get better,” Kincardine economic development and tourism manager Steve Murray Otterman. “You need tires on them to get them settled.”

Although the trail system is complete, Murray said new features could still be added or changed in the years to come to fit the needs of riders.

The bike park is open from dawn to dusk each day to riders over 14. Riders under 14 are to be accompanied by an adult.

Helmets are mandatory and protective equipment is recommended.
